Summary:
This position is primarily responsible for production duties within the department by performing the following duties to ensure the highest quality of products for our customers.
EMPLOYMENT APPLICATION DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Setting up the fill line, steam tunnel and other equipment to produce final product for department.
Uses assigned work orders to know what items/products need to be made.
Blends/Mixes/Batches of chemicals and products for the use of products within the department.
Packages products for the warehouse to ship Preps boxes, bottles and all other materials for production and other department needs.
Puts away raw materials as assigned Assist in measuring, weighing and examining products frequently throughout the process before they're packaged to see that they meet company and industry standards when operating press.
Assist in monitoring and controlling machines daily to maintain daily and weekly production schedule provided by the Supervisor when operating press.
Assist in completing quality checks and paperwork every day to maintain production and industry regulations and company standards when operating press.
Make sure work environment remains safe, uncluttered, clean and well-maintained by performing maintenance and general janitorial duties throughout shift as time allows.
Assist in making sure press/production room stays to the required standard for GMP products along with all documentation being handled and quality checks being maintained.
Maintains a Forklift License once obtained Maintains a productivity rate of a minimum of 100% after training period Clocked in time into Visual (Work Orders and/or Detailed Indirect Entry) when comparing to paid work hours is a min of 80%.
Does all required work within Kegel's Quality Policy and required GMP SOP's Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Has 1 year of experience in running general equipment, High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or 2 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge of all required raw materials, production processes, quality control and other techniques for maximizing the effective production process to produce products once fully trained.
Basic knowledge of repairing and maintaining machinery Good physical condition Excellent time-management skills Read a tape measure Read English Read/Use a scale Blend/Mix Chemicals Forklift License or able to obtain one before 90 days is up COMPUTER SKILLS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual will be trained on site using employer'ssoftware for clocking in and out of work orders.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Continually required to stand for long periods of time (6-8 hours) Continually required to walk Frequently required to utilize hand and finger dexterity Frequently required to climb, balance, bend, stop, kneel or crawl Continually required to talk or hear Continually work near moving mechanical parts The employee must regularly lift and/or move more than 25 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 pounds with the ability to push/pull 300 pounds using equipment.
While performing the duties of this job, the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate Specific vision abilities required by this job include:
