JOB
Summary:
To perform custodial duties as assigned throughout the Gardens and all of Bok Tower Gardens facilities.
Must be willing to work indoor and outdoor in all weather conditions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Collect trash from all outside trash cans throughout the Gardens Check all restrooms, stock and clean as shown on schedule and/or needed Sweep outside walkways of Visitor Center, Caf and Gift Shop areas as needed Clean and maintain buildings of BTG (which include:
Visitor Center, Exhibit Hall, Bathrooms, Theatre, Horticulture Offices and Building, Information Booth, Annex Storage, Olmsted house, North Walk Restrooms, Discovery Center Restrooms, Discovery Center Classroom) Sweeping, mopping, collecting trash, dusting ceilings/walls, cleaning windows/mirrors to include interior and exterior Be visible and available to assist visitors with questions and/or problems Monitor all public facilities (gardens, restrooms, picnic areas, etc.
) to ensure their cleanliness and presentation for the public SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Detail oriented Dependable and punctual work attendance Strong communication, interpersonal, problem solving skills and multi-tasking capabilities Ability to understand and follow basic oral and written instructions Ability to operate standard equipment used for custodial/janitorial purposes - ladders, step stools, handcarts, vacuum cleaners, mops, brooms etc.
Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.
Ability to drive golf carts safely through Gardens Excellent internal customer service skills Requirements:
EDUCATION/
Experience:
High School Diploma or GED; plus minimum of one (1) year of experience in custodial/janitorial work or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience WORKING CONDITIONS:

Some exposure to general cleaning chemicals used for janitorial purposes Able to work outside in summer and winter climates Occasional reaching, stooping, bending, crouching, repetitive arm motions or light lifting (up to 60 lbs.
